NORCENT TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCES HOME THEATER SYSTEMS Competitively Priced Systems Include DVD Player; Two Main, One Center, and Two Surround Speakers;

San Dimas, CA — Norcent Technology, Inc., a marketer of high-quality, competitively priced home entertainment, computer, and memory products, has introduced its newest home theater systems. Each of the three stylish sets features a one-disc DVD player; and two main, a center, and two surround speakers, plus a subwoofer. To complement the systems, Norcent offers a comprehensive line of television sets. The company is affiliated with Shanghai Hongsheng Technology Company, Ltd., one of China’s top IT and communications companies.

“We are very excited about offering these systems to American consumers,” said Jeannie Vogler, Vice President of Sales Consumer Electronics for Norcent Technology, Inc. “They bring exciting technology, superb quality, and very contemporary styling into the home at extremely affordable prices. Including a DVD player in the system provides a tremendous value to anyone who has been wanting to enjoy the realism of home theater entertainment, but has found themselves priced out of the market. Plus, our comprehensive line of television sets allows the consumer to purchase a perfectly matched product to create a complete home theater experience.”

The three home theater systems (DP-1500A, DP-1500B, and DP-1500C) afford plug-and-play convenience as well as balanced-power output. MSRP for the three systems starts at $179.00, which reflects a nearly 50% savings compared to similar products of many leading brands.

According to Vogler, each system’s DVD player has built-in Dolby® digital surround/DTS surround sound and is fully compatible with DVD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 discs. Each unit, she said, also features: Eight-step fast or slow motion with nine viewing functions; memory play and A-B play functions; magnified and mobile picture capability; support for eight different language soundtracks and 32 language captions; multi-angle and multi-story selection play; parental lock device; and super-clear horizontal resolution of more than 500 lines. A full-function remote control is included.

Besides cosmetic distinctions, the systems are primarily differentiated by their wattage. The DP-1500A offers 15-watts in each of its five channels and has a 30-watt subwoofer. The DP-1500B offers 45-watts in each of its five channels and has a 90-watt subwoofer. The DP-1500C offers 20-watts in each of its five channels and has an 80-watt subwoofer. Additionally, the DP-1500C incorporates an AM/FM-stereo tuner in its amplifier.

To complement the systems, Norcent offers 20”, 24”, 27”, 30”, 32”, 43”, 50”, and 55” television sets. Vogler said, depending on model, sets include such features as HD compatibility (480i/480p/720p/1080i), 16:9 aspect ratio, 3D comb filter, progressive scanning, and dynamic focus scan velocity modulation, as well as being CATV ready. She said the selection also includes flat-screen models.

The three home theater systems and selected televisions are now in stock and available for shipping.
